DEVELOPING: Massive BLM Protest Forms Outside Brooklyn Center Police Department in Defiance of 7 PM Curfew (VIDEO)


A massive BLM protest formed outside of the Brooklyn Center Police Department Monday night in response to the shooting death of 20-year-old Daunte Wright.

Brooklyn Center, MN police on Monday released bodycam footage of the moments leading to the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright.

Brooklyn Center Police Chief Tim Gannon called the shooting of Daunte Wright an “accidental discharge.”

“It is my belief that the officer had the intention to employ their taser, but instead shot Mr. Wright with a single bullet,” he said.

Black Civil Rights attorneys are calling for the police chief and police officer to be fired.

Several hundred BLM protesters gathered outside of the police department Monday night and shrugged off a 7:00 PM curfew.

State troopers have been guarding the fenced off police department all day.

Protesters laughed off the 7 PM to 6 AM curfew imposed by Governor Walz.

Just before 6pm we all received emergency alert notifications on our phones informing us of the curfew. I watched dozens of people simultaneously pull out their phones and burst into laughter. One man started cackling and exclaimed, “Yeah, right.”

Small businesses boarded up their storefronts in anticipation of riots and looting.

Watching small businesses in Minneapolis board up their storefronts. Talking to a few locals this weekend, there is a lot of tension in the air here between the Derek Chauvin trial and an officer-involved shooting this past weekend that left a 20-year-old black man dead.
