Meghan McCain Slams Media’s ‘Strategy’ Ignoring Biden Admin Crises on ‘View’

The View co-host Meghan McCain once again leveled her liberal co-hosts with logic and a dose of reality on Thursday’s show. As the liberal panel again desperately tried to distract their audience away from the economic, foreign policy and immigration crises plaguing the country under the new administration, McCain reminded them there are far more important realities the media should be focusing on.

On Tuesday’s show, the hosts spent a lengthy amount of time, like the rest of the media, obsessing over GOP Rep. Liz Cheney being removed from a leadership position, instead of any problems going on in the Biden administration. Yet again on Wednesday, The View ignored reality by making their hot topic rehashing the January 6 Capitol riot….again.

Joy Behar whined that her friends were scared of what was happening to this great country under Republicans:

“It’s just shameless. People I talk to are frightened that this party will bring down this country, bring down this beautiful country and all we’ve treasured over the years. My god,” she ranted.

Sara Haines similarly blasted Republicans’ “insane” “strategy” of downplaying the Capitol riot: “[T]his is a strategy. The broken recording. This is something Trump did leading up to his election. It’s what he did during his whole administration and what he continues to do. If I say it enough, it will become true or at least appear to be true and people will start to believe it,” she accused.

But Meghan McCain called out her co-hosts and the media’s “strategy” of ignoring “anything bad happening in the Biden administration:”

But when Joy says friends of hers are frightened, friends of my are frightened as well. I had to have a conversation with my executive producer yesterday about whether or not I’m going to be able to find gas in my car because the lines at gas stations near where I live are down the street or there’s just no gas whatsoever. I’m privileged. I work for a company who is going to figure out a way to get me to work. What about the average American?

Do you know what else is also a strategy Sara? A strategy is not focusing on anything the Biden administration is doing right now that’s leading this country into crisis. There’s a crisis at the border. Inflation rates are sky high. The Middle East is on fire.Unemployment is crazy. And a lot of Americans can’t figure out how to get gas in the car. These are real problems. It’s like the ’70s all over again. So I think there’s a strategy that the media doesn’t want to focus on anything bad happening in the Biden administration. I implore everyone who works in the industry, just because Trump was so bad doesn’t mean this is good…

The conservative co-host called on the media to focus on the realities facing the average American rather than “relitigating something that happened four months ago:”

This happened four months ago. We’ve been talking about it for four months. I made my perspective crystal clear…There are real meat and potatoes issues impacting average Americans who are also frightened and I think we should be focused on that versus relitigating something that happened 4 months ago.

Afterwards, an offended Sunny Hostin dramatically ranted about how this was an event the nation can never be allowed to “forget.”  Both Hostin and Whoopi Goldberg falsely suggested that police officers died by rioters when the medical examiner ruled that Capitol Police Officer Brian Sidnick died from strokes, not rioter violence.

WHOOPI GOLDBERG: Right. Meghan, will their constituents continue to buy the new narrative? I mean after all the deaths, the police deaths, all the things that went down because of this, people going to jail because of this. Do you think they’ll continue to buy it or will people say wait a minute?

MEGHAN MCCAIN: This happened four months ago. We’ve been talking about it for four months. I made my perspective crystal clear. I think it’s horrific. I don’t believe the big lie. We talked about Liz Cheney at length. But when Joy says friends of hers are frightened, friends of my are frightened as well. I had to have a conversation with my executive producer yesterday about whether or not I’m going to be able to find gas in my car because the lines at gas stations near where I live are down the street or there’s just no gas whatsoever.
