On Wednesday, CNSNews Senior Editor and Washington Correspondent Melanie Arter reported that “DHS Inspector General Joseph Cuffari will not investigate horse-mounted Border Patrol agents who were seen confronting Haitian migrants near the International Bridge in Del Rio, Texas in September, the agency announced on Tuesday.” The announcement came following the false left-wing media narrative that Border Patrol agents had “whipped” illegal immigrants.
Arter further explained: “The investigation was initially referred to the Office of Inspector General (OIG) by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), but the inspector general’s office “declined to investigate and referred the matter back to CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).”
