2024 Super Bowl Gatorade color odds, history, pick

Super Bowl-winning football teams usually douse their coach with Gatorade as the final seconds tick off the scoreboard.

Know who else celebrates?

Bettors who put some green down on the correct celebratory Gatorade color — and purple is moving away from the field.

One of the most popular Super Bowl non-game prop bets involves the color of the Gatorade used in the victory dousing. As of this week, the favored purple moved to -130 from +175.

Red jumped from +500 to +300, tied for second on the oddsboard with orange.

Yellow/green saw its odds lengthen to +550 from +275, and blue lengthened from +330 to +550.

Clear/water saw its odds shorten to +950 from +1200, and no Gatorade bath shortened to +1200 from +2000.

Gatorade became the official sports drink of the NFL in 1983.

Here are the odds at DraftKings Sportsbook for the Gatorade shower color after the San Francisco 49ers and Kansas City Chiefs face off in Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday in Las Vegas:

Purple: -130 (bet $10 to win $17.69 total)
Orange: +300 (bet $10 to win $40 total)
Red: +300 (bet $10 to win $40 total)
Yellow/green: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)
Blue: +550 (bet $10 to win $65 total)
Clear/water: +950 (bet $10 to win $105 total)
No Gatorade bath: +1200 (bet $10 to win $130 total)

Niners coach Kyle Shanahan was asked his favorite Gatorade color.

“I like orange,” Shanahan said.

And what does he drink on gameday?

“Water,” he said.

Some victory bath notes:

– At Bet MGM, Orange has moved from +550 to +500 to +325 as 35% of money (most) is on Orange.

– Purple is the favorite after being used on Chiefs coach Andy Reid last season. Purple had the longest odds before Super Bowl LVII among colors (+800, ahead of +1200 no bath).

– The color yet to be poured on the winning coach is red. The primary color of the Niners and Chiefs? Hmmm …

– No Gatorade bath’s odds worsened from +1200 last year to +2000.
